PasswordDo you always struggle to remember your passwords? Well we’ve got some great news for you! You may never have to remember another password again. The future is almost here: eye scanners. Simple scan your eye and you’re in.

Each iris is unique, which means that there’s no way hackers could break into your iPhone or your computer. A company called eyeLock has created a palm-sized device called ‘Myris’, which is able to perform an on the spot iris scan to confirm your identity. Simply connect this device to your computer via USB, and you can unlock it with your iris. The whole process only takes approximately 15 seconds.

Of course nothing is fool proof, but with odds like 1 in 2.25 trillion, we should all be feeling pretty comfortable with this security system. It’s definitely a big improvement on trying to remember 12 different passwords to secure your data. Myris will launch this year, although a date and price have not yet been announced, we’d anticipate it to be in the $300 range.

Here at BullGuard, we think eye scanning technology will play a major role in the future of security and identification. The low error rates, ease of use (no more remembering complicated passwords) combined with the fact that we’ll all feel as cool as James Bond, this technology will take us far into the future.

Loving the idea of this? There are apps available out there now, if you just can’t wait for the Myris to launch, or don’t want to pay the hefty price tag.
