On April 26th, the Great Radio Marathon will kick off. Radio DJ Lennart Creël will try to break the world record for making radio. He will be broadcasting on Club FM for no less than 190 hours. With this attempt to set a new record, Lennart wants to bring attention to Make A Wish Flanders.
Make a Wish is a charity organisation that helps seriously ill children by granting their wishes.
For eight days, Club FM and Make a Wish Flanders are joining forces. They are calling on as many organisations and individuals as possible to help support this radio marathon.
“My goal with this action is to stay awake and to help grant as many wishes as possible,” Lennart explains.
At BullGuard, this is also an issue that is close to our hearts. Since more and more children are relying on the Internet to have their dreams come true, we are pushing for an Internet where they can surf safely and worry-free. That is why BullGuard would like to back this project. We hope our initial donation of 1000 EUR will already make a difference for a lot of children. In addition, we’d like to celebrate the work of all 120 Make a Wish volunteers. Since they often use the internet for communication, we wanted to make sure that they can do so in optimum conditions. That is why every volunteer will receive a PC security pack.
One of the central acts during this radio marathon is Gracia Goodbye, a Belgian band that has acquired international fame from Brazil to Switzerland. They are celebrating their fifth anniversary this year, and they don’t want it to pass by unnoticed, so they decided to release a new track for this campaign, called Lilly. The proceeds of this single will be donated to Make a Wish Flanders. You can download it here and make a contribution.
