How to install BullGuard when you already have a version installed
The BullGuard installer is able to detect installed BullGuard copies and automatically uninstall them for you. You can also reinstall BullGuard manually by uninstalling the version you already have on your computer and manually installing it again.

When running the BullGuard Downloader tool or the BullGuard Installer, you may receive a security warning from Windows. For Windows Vista/7 UAC warning click on the Yes button.

Step 1
The first window to appear is the Welcome screen. It advises you to close any unsaved documents as certain steps in the installation process may require a restart to work properly. Click Next to continue.

Before proceeding with installing the application, you need to agree to the EULA (End User Licence Agreement) which presents the rights and responsibilities of both user and BullGuard Ltd. To have BullGuard installed in its default location, simply click Next to start the install process.
Customize
Click on the Customize… button to select the location where BullGuard is installed. The default location is in the Windows default Program Files path. To change it, simply type another location or click on Browse to indicate a new location. Click on the Install button to continue.

Step 2
If you already have a version of BullGuard installed on the computer, you will need to uninstall it before proceeding with the installation process. Click on the Next button to uninstall BullGuard.

Step 3
The uninstall process is silently managed by the installer tool which will also save your current BullGuard settings and preferences.

Step 4
You will need to restart the computer to complete the uninstall process. The Restart now option is selected by default and clicking on Finish will restart the PC. Choose I want to manually restart later if you want to restart the computer at a later time.

Must restart
Note that the install process will not continue further unless you restart your computer. Also, make sure to save any documents you have open before clicking on the Finish button.
Step 5
Right after restart, the process will automatically resume and install BullGuard on your computer. Please allow the installation to finish and do not close the window while BullGuard is being installed. As soon the progress bar reaches 100%, a new screen will appear.

Step 6
Once BullGuard has finished installing, you will not be prompted to login or register again because reinstalling BullGuard will keep your previous copy’s settings and user credentials. It will skip the login screen and will start downloading the available updates.

Step 7
Once all updates are downloaded and implemented, the BullGuard interface will appear on your screen.
