BullGuard Passes Virus Bulletin and Retains 100% Score
London, 3 December 2007
BullGuard, specialists in user-friendly PC & Mobile security solutions, submitted its BullGuard Internet Security product for the prestigious Virus Bulletin 100 test for the third time and passed again. After the XP and Vista 64-bit tests earlier this year, Virus Bulletin this time tested on the Windows 2000 Professional platform.
Products can only pass the test if they detect all active viruses at the time of testing, so-called in-the-wild viruses. Additionally, the product may not generate any false positives when scanning a set of clean files. False positives are cases when a file is identified as malware, but it is in fact harmless.
“This makes it three out of three”, said Theis Søndergaard, co-founder and CTO at BullGuard. “We obviously aim to keep up this high standard going forward. Out of the 32 entrants only 15 passed the test this time. This is a sign of how thorough the testing is and an indicator of the significance of passing the test three times on the trot”.
