I was going to restart my computer (it stalled) and right after the reboot, it freeze's at the point where the IDE drives should be detected. Therefor I'm not able to reboot with a CD (to try to fix it) nor am I able to reboot with a diskette.

I have one PC operational (the one I'm writing this on) and I am running Debian Linux on this one.

Is it possible to scan the other PC from within this one (Linux)?
