HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!

I'm in need of some advice! I keep getting warning messages from my anti virus checker saying that a file has been infected with the above. It seems to always say that its in window 32.

Has anyone every experience this before or could tell me how to fix it!

Thanks Touch!

Its sorted out about 10 files. I've deleted files out before that had this virus on it - its seems to be coming back. not sure if I am atttacking the problem or the symptoms.

If this comes back again - what should I do? (do i keep using this scan engine to delete the files..or is there something i can do to stop it happening again!)

thanks
(p.s. did i mention that you are a star??!!)

thanks Touch!

I'll give that a try!

At the moment I have avast as my anti virus and Zone alarm as my fire wall. Avast is recognising that the file is infected but it doesn't seem to be getting rid of the root cause!

And as for being a star....you really are - you are just to modest to admit it!

I entered a response to someone else with the same cause. You won't find any Anti Virus that will delete or remove the root if it already got to your HKEY registry files. Those files are too important for any software to climb into and destroy, See a technician. Nobody will be able to help you over the phone if that is the reason.
