i had CCleaner installed on my system, but lately i couldn't use it anymore.. it disappears after a few seconds opened. i'm not sure why. maybe a virus screwed it up..
so i installed this Hijackthis removal tool that i got the link from Bullguard Newsletter and i got this log file (attached here as an attachment).
i'm not sure what to do next. i hope you can help me =)
Although it is better to post the logs here in the forum Kharisma, I did take a look at yours and do not see any infection or noticeable issues. Try disabling any protective software that might be interfering with CCleaner's registry or folder access, and if that doesn't help do an uninstall/reinstall of CCleaner to get things right.
what kind of protective software? i don't have any anti virus software installed ^^;

but i had this situation when after i tried to install this anti virus program www.filehippo.com/download_antivir/, it worked quite well.. but it was spamming me with 'Detection' windows showing every single virus it found on my computer.. it made my computer lagged as hell too. lots of the Detection windows frozen up too so i had to force quit them.
when i restarted my comp, i got to chat with my bf on MSN and then it started to spam me with 'detection' windows again. i patiently deleting every virus found. and out of curiosity, i tried to install CCleaner and it worked! bad news is, since it was lagging as hell and Yahoo wouldn't even signed in, and it couldn't get rid by ending its process, i reboot my computer. computer froze up just as soon as it was started. there was this error window mentioning that anti virus program.
i forced quit my computer a million times and 10 but it gave me the same thing. i tried to get in from Safe Mode, but Safe Mode always failed to start so i had to start windows normally. several times i tried to get in from Last Known something (forgot what it was called ^^;) and i could get a second of glory thinking of the computer would work that time. but it didn't.
finally i let it stayed that way for a while and calling my bf during.. and yaaaaay.. after some minutes it showed life! but msn and yahoo still didn't work yet. so i quickly run CCleaner, cleaned my PC, got 6.something MB to be removed. and then UNINSTALL that anti virus out of my computer and hit System Restore to the point when i hadn't installed the !!!!ed thing.
after that's done.. computer and internet are working normally again. but that also made my CCleaner wouldn't work again. i already tried to install & uninstall it a bunch of times but nothing worked. CCleaner disappeared after it run for 2 seconds. always like that :/
