| Hi I need some help please
I kept getting a warning about a Trojan virus that had affected my computer so as usual i did what avast antivirus told me to do and move it to the chest. however, it took quiet a few times before it allowed me to move it into the chest and every time it kept freezing my computer.
anyway, i moved it to chest them emptied the chest to get rid off it completely. then did a scan using avast and found that i also had worms (sorry dont remember whihc type). they were easy to get rid off. After the scan was finished and chest emptied i restarted comp. however when i opened it again thats when my problems started.
Firstly i realised that avast antivirus program had been deleted completely off my computer - the virus must have done it becuase i know i didnt delete it. Instead i found these other programs or documents that i had no idea of what they were and after asking everyone who uses this computer found that it wasnt one of us who downloaded it. so im gathering the virus must of installed these.
For the programs that i realised that they might be a virus i deleted them. after deleting it told me to restart comp which i did but when i reopened the other programs (installed by virus) were gone or the names must have changed because i cant find them.
however i know that the programs are still there as everytime i go on the internet and change to a different site, a new window pops up always saying in the url section "CiD". i have searched all files on my comp and cant find one with CiD. even after doing a virus scan and a scan using spybot i still cant find it.
So i need help. Please. Ive tried everything i can think of but nothing has worked. Im really worried that now there is a virus that is in the comp and it might delete or change an improtant document.
