Ahoy Bullfrogs!

I have a problem with Win32/Parite. I don't know which strain of the virus it is - AVG only detects it as being "Win32/Parite". I run Windows ME.

I am unable to remove it with AVG alone (files are supposedly cured but the virus re-appears next virus scan) or by deleting the infected files. Nor can I find and delete the PINF key as some forums recommend - it simply doesn't exist on my computer.

Can anyone help? I am a dummy so please provide specific instructions.
