I let my mother in law borrow laptop and she downloaded some virus from myspace. Now the Laptop will not run any programs. When I click on a program a browser window pops up asking which program I want to use to open this file. I have AVG installed on the laptop but when I click on it, it will not run. I tried installing Norton but it will not let me install any programs. I tried to format my C drive but it will not let me also. Is there a way to find and remove this virus with the way he laptop is running now?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
