Hey folks. Just trying this new antispyware from Microsoft, got to say first off it caught adaware and trojans on my pcs that even spybot, adaware AND spysweeper didnt catch. However, when installing it gave a warning about bullguard antivirus ( tried on two pc's one with 4.5 , other with 5 but same warning ). It said " Bullguard can cause severe compatibility issues. Tried a search and managed to find a forum via altavista with other users having same error message.
Is this going to be a problem- have any of you had this same warning?
I got the Windows download to when I checked for patches of their website, anyway I was just wondering where it actually installs itself on my computer as I cant seem to find it anywhere.
Does it run in the backgorund ro is it like Spybot where you have to load it up and run it?
As for the warning I havent had it but then I dont use Bullguard I use other Antivirus software and Spyware.
I run BullGuard 5.0 on several systems and have no compatibility issues with Microsofts Spyware tool & BullGuard. Microsofts Spyware (Giant Software) program is BETA 1, so I'm sure the problem is at Microsofts end. Like I said, I've had no problems or warnings during install or currently. I am however, currious to know what you found. Please post it if you can.
If you set the spyware program to have "real-time protection" it will reside in your task bar and monitor your internet/system/applications. (Apparently)
