I am trying to update Bullguard through a network connection.  We have been evaluating bu8llguard to install on a 20 machine network and file server, but are finding that we can not update any of the machines, probably due to the firewall configuration.  Since the firewall can not be dropped without us losing all internet connectivity, I wonder whether it is possible for us to download the updates in a simple self extracting format.  This would solve the firewall issue and allow me to use trhe same update file for a number of installations.  This is the final question before we purchase so you can imagine how important it is.

 

Plus... If I get it wrong I will get my nuts chewed!

You should be able to download the updates without problems when using the program's interface - please tell us the exact error message you get - maybe we can solve this issue.

Do you have a proxy and does the proxy need authentication? Do all the computers have internet connection?

 

If you can download all the updates for one computer then share the folder containing the updates to all the network.

This folder is:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bullguard\Bullguard Scan Server\Plugins
