I am running Bullguard Internet Security Suite v8.5 under Windows XP home SP2 (1024mb RAM installed)
After reaching the desktop on booting-up, the red splash screen for the Bullguard program stays on screen and after 5-6 mins freezes up the whole PC.  Does anyone have any ideas on a fix for this?

Hi Dan,

First of all, you should update your Windows XP to SP3.
Furthermore, your version of BullGuard is pretty old, we have released BullGuard 12 several weeks ago. The upgrade is free of any charges, and you can keep using the same subscription.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Click on the link in order to save the BullGuard 12 downloader: download.bullguard.com/BullGuardDownloader.exe
2. Run the file in order to download the corresponding installation kit for your PC.
Note: whilst uninstalling your older version using the installer, choose not to keep settings when promted.
3. Afterwards, you just need to follow this installation guide: http://www.bullguard.com/support/product-guides/bullguard-internet-security-guides-12/getting-started/installing-bullguard.aspx
Since you already have a BullGuard account you can login with your account details in the new application and skip the account creation process.
