Real updates, that is. Not the sort that look like an update and were received in an email and are actually an invitation to catch a virus in disguise. [Just in case anybody reads the above post, not realising the difference .
Windows updates are plentiful, that's for sure, but if you're running anything Windows, it's the only way to go besides adding the fact that you can firewall yourself behind a router and run a good antivirus.
But, I'd go there only using IE's internal method (Tools -> Windows Update) or hit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and get them from there. Never take an email "invite" to update your OS.
