Will BullGuard work with SP2's Security Center AV notification? I really like BullGuard, and that is about the only thing keeping me from purchasing it right now.
That's a good question for Bullguard go to bullguard.com look under question or FAQ's or even better send them an email at support@bullguard.com they may direct you to the right place.
That be true Destroyer, it looks at norton like it's a VIRUS, probably best not to run 2 at the same time. Bullguard and ad-aware6 seem to work well together.
Works perfectly. Installed final release of ServP2 last night and as always Bullguard performed flawlessly and is fully compatible with the new security center feature. On the other hand had to go and help out a friend of mine who had Norton's Internet Security 2004 installed... The sp2 installation totally corrupted his firewall/anti virus registry entries, it was so bad the only thing left to do was to reinstall XP. After this it took 5 mins. of my time to convince him to get Bullguard, he immidiately purchased Bullguard. Bullguard rocks dudes, its just the only reliable security solution plus it doesn't hog my system resources on the contrary it seems to add to the overall stability of my system... I wonder why this software is not well known!!! When I tell fellow PC user about the software they are like "Bull#$&#, what the hell is that?!" I don't know about you guys, but hey it took me 3 years to find a stable reliable security solution for XP, windows firewall you ask!??! Don't relly on Microsoft for the provision of system security, that's rule #1 in my personal computer rules bible (maybe #2 after the "dont change drive letter of the system partition" rule). Good'ol Bill Gates over in Seattle needs to incorporate better security features in his software!!! SP2 is only one baby step in the right direction with regards to security, I found over 21,000 ports that where wide open when I performed a port scan using Windows firewall, turned on Bullguard and boem, ports where stealthed. ;) Bullguard 10/10. (i am not a sales person, and this is not a sales pitch heheee) Peace to all ya PC brothaz...
Destroyer said... Just as a note, bullguard doesent seem to like it if other antivirus products are running and neither do they. Especiallly norton
When you say bullguard you mean the product or company?
Without using other antivirus(avast professional) in tandem with bulldog I would not have found a sneaky virus in my game folder. I then took the virus and sent it to bulldog to patch. (I use full scan daily of bulldog first then avast). In all instances, it's never a good idea to rely on one antivirus, unless you find a compatability issue. Bulldog is great and has found over 50 virus this year. Im a very happy customer. But remember you should always have a backup of antivirus software, it becomes nearly impossible to cover all types of virus.
not trying to speak for destroyer, but this I can tell you it's the software it's like trying too run 2 internet connections at the same time, they conflict. if your running 2 AV programs at the same time there is problems, the trick is disable one while you run the other, because your right you do need a backup even with the puppy. As far as Norton goes bullguard sees it as a virus because he sits on the top of an operating system like a virus it reads the viral definitions and trys to delete them, and usually does, because bullguard embeds itself in the OS he can look around a whole lot deeper than can norton that is why I like bullguard. Eagle
Think of the quality of the operating systems, Do you REALLY want Uncle Bill making security software? If the AV is as flawed as the OS' then you really would be in a world of hurt! Not a big fan of Gates to start with But let him stick to what he don't know best and what he does know best! in order making operating systems and 2 selling operating systems.
