hi there,

im having a major problem with my computer. Thing is, i just installed Norton Systemworks 2006, and the installation finished and i rebooted as normal. After reboot, it told me some of the drivers for NSW couldnt be loaded, so i did it again. Now, a really stupid, annoying problem is happening that whenever i start up my computer, the thing restarts. It loads up a part of the startup tray, and then reboots. I may be a n00b to this, but it may have done something to the registry or something. So im thinking, should i re-install windows or is there any thing useful i could do from Safe mode???

thanks for all your help

just to let everyone know, i have already unticked the automatic restart setting from the control panel, but it still restarts!!! Is it a harware problem then? Please, if anybody knows a solution, the help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

But, if worse comes to worse and nothing works, can i re-install windows by at the same time keeping my files and folders? (obviously booting via MS-DOS), rather than completely formatting the drive to install on a fresh copy? Its just theres a lot of useful things on it, i dont want it to go missing!

Thanks again!!
