Hello Ped,

In regards to the problem you had encountered I must tell you that BullGuard cannot delete your emails in either of the following situations:

- at server side, before they reach your Inbox
- from your computer after they are downloaded

The BullGuard Spamfilter can only identify an email as Spam and then move it into the selected Spam folder, that can be:

- the Deleted Items folder for the Outlook Express / Windows Mail email client.
- the folder you chose to move junk emails ito when you run the Spamfilter Wizard for the Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird email clients.

Please perform this test in order to see if BullGuard is causing the issue you are facing:
1. Double-click on the BullGuard icon from the right lower corner of your computer in order to bring up the program's console.
2. Go the Spamfilter menu > the Overview tab.
3. Press the "Turn it off" button.
4. Tell me if you can receive your emails normally when only the Spamfilter is turned off.

I am looking forward to your reply. We will offer further instructions from there.

Regards,

Will do, I shall have to await some replies to my posts on the forum before I know whether the posts are getting through.

Could it be VISTA that is denying me access to these emails?

Dear Ped,

There are many reasons why you cannot receive these emails:

- your email address may be typed in incorrectly;
- depending on the email client you use, the incorporated Junk filter may delete them if it was set do delete message considered as spam;
- the messages can be bounced at server side.

This is why I instructed you perform the above tests, to see if the issue is caused by BullGuard.

I am looking forward for your tests results.

Well turning off the Bullguard didn't do the trick. I didn't receive the emails I am missing.

As these emails are generated automatically from a website could bullguard be preventing the website from sending them out to me?

Hello Ped,

Since it would appear your missing emails problem is not caused by the BullGuard Spamfilter I must kindly ask you to take this final test in order to see if this issue is caused by any BullGuard service that is active on your computer:

1. Press the "Windows+R" keys simultaneously.
2. In the field that appears type: services.msc
3. Press "OK".
4. In the window that appears double-click the "BullGuard Email Monitoring Service".
5. In the "Startup type" field choose: Disable
6. Press "Apply" and then "OK".
7. Restart the computer.

Tell me if you can receive these emails after doing the above.

Thank you,

Regards,

Dear Ped,

Since the problem persists with BullGuard's service turned off, I do not believe this issue is caused by the Spamfilter. As a next steps I recommend you to:

1. Check and see if only emails from this website are stopped.
2. Check the forum's control pannel and see if it was set up correctty to send you notifications.
3. Right-click BullGuard and choose "Close". >> Check if the problem persists with BullGuard completely turned off.
