Was using Bullguard v7 and Xbox 360 with Transcode 360 installed.
Decided to upgrade to v8 Bullguard
The firewall broke the Xbox 360 Transcode 360 functionality. I got everything else working through the firewall ok.
I allowed the Transcode360 apps through the firewall and monitored the traffic and added in IP addresses for all blocked firewall traffic, but still had no joy.
When click transcode360 on the xbox 360 it seems to work a bit as though its transcoding the movie into an wmv to send it to the xbox and then it hangs. If you start transcode 360 as console app, it too says transcode started. In the end I couldn't sort it and rolled back to 7. But I like the extra firewall and backup features of 8. so would like to get it working.
As anyone used Bullguard 8 with transcode on the forums and if so how did you manage to get it working ok?
1. Open the BullGuard program. 2. Go to the FIREWALL section and choose the OVERVIEW tab. 3. Here is where you need to change the user level into "Advanced". 4. In the same section (FIREWALL), please choose the PROFILES tab. 5. Double-click the CUSTOM SECURITY profile. 6. Choose the APPLICATION RULES tab. 7. Right click anywhere in the list and select the "Add application" option. 8. Browse to the location of the launch file for Media Connect 2, select the file and click "Open". 9. Select the ADVANCED RULES tab, create a new rule and set it on ALLOW. 10. Set the protocol to TCP and enter in the Ports section the following ports, in both Local and Remote fields: 2869, 10243, 5555, 3390 Click on OK in order to save the settings. 11. Create a new rule, set it on ALLOW and set the Protocol to UDP. Then add the following ports both in the Local and Remote fields: 1900, 10280, 10281, 10282, 10283, 10284, 7777, 3776 Click on OK. 12. Clcik on the OK button and then on the Activate button. 13. Disconnect the Xbox (if it was connected). 14. Turn off the Firewall (Firewall section > Overview tab > Turn it off option. 15. Connect the Xbox. 16. Turn the Firewall back on.
Hi in dont want to interupt this thread or anything but i have a 360 related issue aswell. And it would be really great if i could get some help... I cant get pass the firewall when i want to stream my music, I have added all the IP addresses so they are trusted. And inserted the right ports though i dunno if i put them right.. I inserted them in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service..
Everything seem to be fine even Xbox live, Except i cant find my computer and if i can the files isnt working!
I just upgraded to V8 and Bullguard firewall is preventing me streaming to my XBOX 360 as Inuyasha describes. I have tried the fix as Alin detailed but no success.
I spent several hours chatting with Bullguard support but still no success.
