Hi all,

After an update last week eveytime I switch on my machine Bullguard boots up and then tries to login. At this point a message comes up stating 'Failed to initialise internet connection'. The only way I can get around this is to re-install it. I am now having to do this every morning just to get the !!!! thing to connect and log on.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Been having the same problem over the past few weeks-have emailed support today, and am awaiting their reply. Will feed back the words of wisdom shortly.

Just received this reply back - hope it helps:

This error appears because BullGuard has been updated with a new type of secure connection with our servers. There are 3 things you need to do first:

1. First of all, please make sure that you have an active Internet connection. Then please try to access the following addresses:

https://www.bullguard.com/buy.aspx
https://www.bullguard.com/login.aspx

If you cannot access them or get any errors, please contact your system administrator so that he can set up your computer to access the https protocol. If you can access these web pages, please move on to the next step.

2. Open an Internet Explorer window, click on Tools > Internet Options and in the new windows that pops up please go to Advanced and scroll down to the Security section and check the "SSL 2.0" and "SSL 3.0" options. Make sure you click OK to save these settings.

3. Make sure your system date is properly set in the System Tray.

If all these requirements are met and you still receive the error, please get back to us as soon as possible.

Just found this thread. Was unable to search for a while due to site maintenance.

Having exactly the same problems. Just tried the fix with no success :(
