Kudos to BullGuard for yet another round of excellence reported in the latest Virus Bulletin and AV-TEST dispatches, 201212-vb100-comparative.pdf and avtest_2012-11_endurance_test_iss_english.pdf.
However, in the former I was almost amused to read... "Updates are a little slower, most runs having two stages of downloading and implementation, and in most cases requesting a reboot, sometimes quite a while after the process had apparently completed."
But as I have observed, it is mostly never after the process had apparently completed.
Perhaps now that this august institution has documented this pathetic and unjustifiable behavior, it might get fixed. No one else in the industry burdens its users with this mockable upgrade process.
And I will take this opportunity to reiterate my opinion that the exclusion of version information on your tech-specs.aspx Web page and no postings whatsoever in your "Updates and Patches" forum is pitiful and stupid. Likewise, no one else in the industry isolates its users from that data. Nope. Can't bother the paying customer with that nasty version stuff. Want to check and see if you're running the latest version? Too bad, ain't it?
Get on it, would you PLEASE? Thank you. "Machines making machines! How perverse." -C3PO BullGuard AV 2013 - Online Armor Premium - Zemana AntiLogger - Malwarebytes Pro • Win7hpSP1x64 • i7-3770K/Z77/AMD HD 7770 Tower • i5-2430M/H65/iHD3000 Laptop •
