Unless I'm missing something there seems to be a very obvious absence of tutorials on the use of the firewall. I need to know how to set it up properly to have a good level of security without blocking normal use of the internet.
The default low level/application/advanced rules are there to do just that. Any other additional rules/options you need to set depend on your connection type and the software you use.
