I recently installed the trial version of Bullguard 8.0 onto my laptop that runs Vista (32 bit). In the Updates section of the overview screen under automatic updates the last check for updates and last updated shows as not available.  Even after leaving Bullguard running its antivirus/antispyware scan til it has finished I still get the same problem.  (Bullguard is set to run at start up).  When I click on the check for updates in the recommended action I get a Bullguard screen saying Important update - restart computer.  When I restart the computer there is no change to the updates screen!  Pls help as this is driving me mad.

Hello

See if this help ->

1. Browse to the following location on your PC and delete the PendingSystemReboot file manually:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BullGuard\LiveUpdate\Flags
2. Go to BullGuard’s Main section > Account tab and update the application once more.
3. Restart your computer.
Note: “Application Data” is a hidden folder and you may need to follow these steps to make sure you can find it. Alternatively, you can hold the Windows key from your keyboard and press “R” at the same time. Copy-paste the path mention above into the “Run” dialog that appears and click OK.
