World of Warcraft have put a sticky thread up advising of a trojan called Disker. They have advised that "We have not been able to locate any anti-virus programs that will remove it besides just reformatting your system." Can you advise if Bullguard is looking at this issue?

Full forum thread is here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/11041384892

For Blizzard to create a sticky, it's pretty serious. Without knowing where the trojan comes from, I'm very nervous about running the program and my computer while online.

Cheers, Kat

BullGuard may not yet remove it, but it will surely block it.

If you play WOW, as I do, and get a prompt from BullGuard about it, or suspect you are infected, contact support immediately.

Thanks for the quick reply, Andreea. Blizzard have advised that the trojan was deployed via a fake Curse client deployed on a fake curse site and that Malwarebytes has configured a fix/removal, will Bullguard be incorporating this into a future update?

Blizzard update here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/11041384892?page=10#189

Also, and I suspect this is a stupid question, how can I tell the difference between the real curse website and the fake one? I'm guessing that the fake site still shows a URL of http://www.curse.com even if you hover over it?

Cheers, Kat

Kat, you have both anti-phishing protection and the infection, if it's not blocked by the antivirus definitions, which it should be, it will be blocked by the behavioral engine.

There is no way for me to know if this particular infection is removed by BullGuard without an actual sample of the infection, because I do not have access to the virus database.

I do know that I play WoW and trust my BullGuard to protect me. Why? Simply because I trust that my colleagues will do their job properly.
