This is a known issue and I have it too, although my computer does shut down eventually. It has something to do with the fact that it's a 64-bit computer (I don't know the specifics of this one).

Our developers are looking into it, so if you would please contact support, so we can get your logs, it will help us. The more logs the developers have, the sooner an issue gets solved.

Hello Mike,

Please note that the latest version of BullGuard is 15.
I will kindly ask you to download it from our website (login to your Online Account and press the "Download" button from the "My Subscription" section).
Let me know if the issue persists.

Hi I have updated to version 15.0.291.2 but the same issue occurs

It seems when I switch off the anti-virus component the machine shuts down normally

Edit: I have been able to resolve this by disabling the NVidia Streamer Service

I now have this problem that the PC will not shut down unless I stop Scan Behavioural in advanced settings. The problem then goes away. Are Bullguard dealing with this?

Hi Roger,

Please open your BullGuard program and go to Settings ->Advanced ->General ->Main.
Uncheck the "Allow BullGuard to protect its components against termination" box and restart your computer.
Let me know if the issue persists.

Best wishes!

I have just tried your suggestion but it made no difference. The only thing that seems to work is switching off Scan Behavioural which was first advised by your technicians early in 2014.

Hi Roger,

The issue should have been solved several months ago.
Uninstall BullGuard without keeping settings and reinstall it using the installer available on our website.
Let me know if you still experience this problem afterwards.

Cheers!

I reinstalled BullGuard from your website as recently as December 27th. Is there are any point in uninstalling it and reinstalling it yet again?

I should mention that the BullGurd technicians have asked for my PC logs and are investigating the issue. I will see what they say.

Problem solved. NVidia Streamer Services are the problem. Disable that and the problem goes away. (BullGuard advice).
