I sent this e-mail, and was asked to post it on the forum. As it's 2 am, and I'm heading to bed, I'll just post it in it's entirety, without any editing;
Hello.
I tried to submit a suggestion by using your online form, but your website pinged me out. I sent you a bug report on that incident as well, but after a chat with a member of your support team, I was advised to submit my future reports/reviews to this mail. If you should want me to start using your online forms again, please let me know.
As a reference:
WinXP, DualCore, bit32 version.
Gaming plug in:
Issue 1: When creating a new game profile, clicking on "browse" does not result in an action. In order to add a game executable, you must hit '+'. It might be just me misunderstanding the concept here, but to me it would be logical that by hitting 'browse' you're able to browse for an executable.
Suggestion 1(you might already have this one): Right now, when you've highlighted a 'game profile' and hit 'edit', you're being presented with a pop-up with three choices. If you're to edit more than one type of settings, it's quite awkward and tiresome. My suggestion is that you change it so that when you hit 'edit' you're presented with a pop-up page, with three main tabs (much like it is on the Main page of BullGuard today. The tabs that are already linked to each type of setting would of course be visible when you've selected one of the tabs. The 'general' tab should be the tab the user is presented with. (Optional: you might want to let the software remember which settings the user edited the last time, and present him with that tab, depending on how often you assume your user would want to edit their settings). This would not only make it more user-friendly, but would also make it look more "integrated" into the software. Right now it resembles a "quick fix". In addition to this it would make it more of a "more control - less hassle" feature.
Suggestion 2: As of now, when you double-click on a 'game profile', you're directed to the 'edit settings' pop up. The same happens when you double-click on the column that displays which profile is currently active. My suggestion is to let a double-click on this column automatically activate the current profile, instead of having to mark it, and then move the cursor down to the 'Activate' button.
Beta online:
Suggestion 1: Create a login system. Here you should as a user be able to see the reports you've sent in. You should also not be logged out until you've been idle for, say, 3 hours. This is in order to prevent people writing massive reports, only to have them vanish due to a timeout.
General
Suggestion 1: As of now, the bar displaying the different plugins are too short, and you've used a scroll bar. Which is fine. However, you could enhance it a bit by adding one out of two functions;
1) When the user clicks on one of the arrows, it automatically scrolls down so far that the next icon is fully visible. (my fav.)
2) Make it slowly scroll down/up when the user is howering the cursor over the arrows.

Except for that one, I think the rest are some pretty good ideas. Especially the double click on profile one!- Crystalizer
Crystalizer: The idea was to give it a more professional look, at the same time as you'll save the users from having to click several times - without need. A small thing, indeed, but we are[/] trying to make it perfect, not just "good".
Any other ides/improvements?Audentes Fortuna Iuvat

You replied that apart from the suggestion regarding the menu/bar on the left side, you agreed. So I went ahead explaining why I felt that it should be implemented, hoping to get a constructive argument going.Audentes Fortuna Iuvat
