so we can create or own game profiles and I see one user has already posted one here in the forum (cheers!) :)
IMHO, it would be great, and convenient, if Bullguard hosted a page here on their site where users could upload their files and maybe have a link to it in the client. or perhaps view the list within the client or somehow integrate the whole profile-hunting experience into the client itself.
obviously there would have to be large words saying things like "Disclaimer: Bullguard offers no support for user created game profiles" but hey, we're gamers, that's normal for anyone who's ever used a mod for a game like half-life or elderscrolls or something :)
cuz I was thinkin of making some profiles for the games I use most, which I listed in the suggestions thread here and I thought to myself "gee thats about a half-dozen or so games" so how do I put them into circulation? 6 different forum posts? cuz if that's gonna be the procedure for the fledgling "Bullguard gamer community" we're gonna have one bloated gameprofile forum, especially when this hits retail.
I think it would be beneficial to the users and the company if this was somehow centrally controlled.
I'd like to refer you to http://cougar.frugalsworld.com/files.php as a good example of a site where users create their own custom profiles for some gaming hardware. now that site is NOT run by the company that makes the hardware but is a community driven site (Which happens to be the official/unofficial tech support site) for the hardware in question. anyway the point is it's a pretty good system of submitting various controller configurations users create and having em all somewhere everyone can find easily.
and now everyone knows I'm the flightsim geek in the group
I'd suggest if bullguard can't or doesnt want to, create something like that, then perhaps as the community grows larger someone would want to create a site for our game profiles. I'd offer to set it up but I'm afraid I don't know how.
Definitely a convenient addition, but wouldn't it be possible for hackers/virus-making-people to create a lot of GP's for popular games, and leave a loophole in the security system? I haven't really looked into it, but it is something to consider.Audentes Fortuna Iuvat
