Hi, I've just joined here out of desperation after trying absolutely everything to get rid of a virus I have.  I am using a laptop with windows xp sp3.

For the last couple of days every time I start my computer up something called c:\windows\iexplorer.html tries to get on the internet even though I'm not on the internet.  Loads and loads of new icons come up all the time, as soon as I get rid of one, another one comes up, then more and more.

It's disabled my firewall, and I did have live one care protection but that's now disabled. I've tried every conceivable antivirus program to clean my comp but nothing has worked!! I used this comp for my work but I can't get into any program without loads of these things coming up.  I know I have a virus but don't know what it is or how to get rid of it.  Please, please please somebody help me, as I don't want to have to reformat.
