Hi everyone, it won't let me visit any virus protection websites (I was surprised I was able to come here), I tried a system restore, but when I click "next" at the final step, nothing happens.  I also tried installing malwarebyte like I saw here on the forum, it installed, but the program won't start when I click on it.  I renamed like I saw in another post.  I'm really stuck now and not sure what I should do.  I have Trend Micro Security Agent Installed, when I run  a scan it finds nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Chris

Hello Chris smile

Let´s try combofix ->

Please download combofix here -> http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

Before Saving it to Desktop, please rename it to something like 123.exe to stop malware from disabling it.

Now, please make sure no other programs are running, close all other windows.

Please double click on the file you downloaded. Follow the onscreen prompts to start the scan.
Once the scanning process has started please DO NOT click on the Combofix window or attempt to use your computer as this can cause the scanning process to stall.
It may take a while to complete scanning and this is normal.

You will be disconnected from the internet and your desktop icons/toolbars will disappear during scanning, do not worry, this is normal and it will be restored after
scanning has completed.

Combofix will create a logfile and display it after your computer has rebooted. Usually located in c:\combofix.txt, please post it to your next reply.

NB. It is possible you´ll have to run combofix from safe mode

Looks like we have improvements.

Once installed, run CCleaner click the Windows tab

Select the following:
Internet Explorer:
Temp Internet
History
Recently Typed URLs
Delete Index.dat files

System:
Empty Recycle Bin
Temporary Files
Memory Dumps
Chkdsk File Fragments
Old Prefetch Data

Next: click Options click the Settings tab
Uncheck: "Only delete files older than 48 hrs.", click Ok

Then click Run Cleaner (bottom right) then Exit
Reboot

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:

Or here:

 to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Please connect all your external hard drive/flash drive before running Malwarebyte

Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.

When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location.

NB: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

to download HJTinstall.exe
Save HJTinstall.exe to your desktop.
Double click on the HJTinstall.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Hijack This.
Click I accept
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet.
Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Everything seems fine. Do I need to use HijachThis to fix anything? You've been such a great help, thanks so much!

That´s good news. And I was glad to help smile

No need fix anything in hijackthis, all of what it finds are harmless and required.
Now your computer problems are solved, it is time for the clean-up procedure ->
You should Create a New Restore Point to prevent possible reinfection from an old one.
The easiest and safest way to do this is:
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
Select Create a restore point, and Ok it.
Next, go to Start > Run and type in cleanmgr
Select the More options tab
Choose the option to clean up system restore and OK it.

This will remove all restore points except the new one you just created.

Please download http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/oldtimer/OTCleanIt.exe
Save it to desktop.
This will remove all the tools we used to clean your computer.
Double-click OTCleanIt.exe. Click CleanUp. Say Yes to the "Begin cleanup Process?"
When asked if you want to proceed with the cleanup process, click Yes. Restart your computer when prompted.
Please note. It will NOT remove Mbam, Ccleaner and SuperAntispyware.

When I try to create a restore point, System Restore gives me this message:
"System Restore is not able to create a restore point. Please restart the computer, and then run System Restore again."

After restarting, it gave me the same message again. Any ideas?

It's still giving me the same message when I click on "create," after giving the restore a name.
The fix from your last post seemed to install ok. I'm not sure what to check next.

Make sure systemrestore are enabled - Right click on My Computer>go to properties>system restore and set a check mark.

Otherwise -> Go Start>All Programmes>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore and check the Settings to make sure some hard disk space is allocated for this procedure.

When I check the settings it only gives me the option to set a checkmark to "turn off system restore." This was unchecked and the slider to set allocated disk space for system restore was all the way to the right for maximum space.
