wouldn't normally suspect google but tried the chrome beta yesterday (too buggy so shelved it) but even after reboot zone alarm kept chucking warnings that GoogleUpdate.exe was trying to access the net. cheeky *%&$ers!!
checked msconfig, nothing obvious so just did find files and tried to delete them, the search thing finds 2 copies but when i try to delete them windows explorer crashes!! switfly followed by dr watson!!!
retried and same thing!!!! this is well into extreme naughtiness now! or i've got a virus, which while very unlikely and scan shows nothing is why i'm posting.
it's a pernicious little blighter, I've now uninstalled google updater,earth,and chrome and I'm still getting it! whose computer is this? mine or googles? anyway no worries, will scrub the reg and prog files when i get a mo.
