Just got a bill for $40 for international calls to 'Diego Garcia'!  Turns out my sisters computers modem got "hijacked".  Have now put an international toll bar on the line.

I updated her virus definition files and all of a sudden a computer that looked clean actually had 8 infections!
Downloader.Stubby.A
Downloader.Small.5.l
Dropper.Inor
SecThought.E
SecThought.C
Downloader.Keenval.B
Downloader.Keenval.C
Downloader.Keenval.D

I'm wondering which of these might have installed this dialler?  Or alternately might it have been using Kazaa/some kind of spyware, as I found a lot of this when I ran spybot over it.

I do know it was this computer as I have now found the created dial-up connection under dial-up networking on it, but I don't know exactly how it got there.  Anyone else been hit by one of these things.  I was reading on the 'net it's been quite a big worldwide problem.

remove all the ungenuine connections, and run a full virus scan with 2 antivirus, and use ad-awrae, spybot S&D, and pestpatrol :-)

A dialer is usually called a dialer, meaning that you should see the word dialer inside the name of the virus...

You need to remove all those trojans from your computer and keep your antivirus up to date!
