I can't seem to install norton, just says it is not supported although i still had 6 months left on it.
had tried to use other free scans, avast is the one i use now. but is infected. found 6 and could only move all but one to the chest, which is a file that all could be moved to, and not run. the one it could not move to is one in the restore file. can i delete it . i am afraid that if i do. all things can go wrong, though that may be the reason i can't restore my computer with my restore disk. sad  I am so sad that i can't do anything. can someone help me, i hate to delete these files because i don't know these files and what they mean. if i need them or what.
what ever notifys i get in email, be sure to not send attach. because what good thing is , i have a setting in outlook express it removes all attachments. every one.

You will get rid of the infected files from your Restore folder as soon as you disable the System Restore feature.
However I recommend you to run a full scan with Bullguard in order to see whether the file you mentioned was the only infected file that wasn't removed.

In order to disable the Restore feature in Windows XP follow the steps: right click on My Computer's icon -> click on Properties -> then choose System Restore. Check the box near "Turn Off system Restore on all drives".
