Hi

Just recently I recieved the keylogger.briss virus   jao.dll

Bullguard detected it and quarantined it.

However when I reboot I get this window

unable to open c:/windows/downloaded programs files/bridge.dll

My question is how do you get rid of this?  Is there anything that can repair this?

Also does this virus effect recieving email.  For example:  People have sent me emails that are not showing up in outlook express?  No errors are showing and they do insist that they have sent emails.

Thanks

Thanks destroyer for your thoughts. Its definately something being activated at startup. I think the virus is inoperative but still I have this bridge.dll appearing on startup. I wish I can rid of the sucker. Any ideas???

Thanks for your help

Well Why dont you open the registry editor and find the file and delete it. It IS in thier because it is being activated at start up.

Hey thanks for your help

I tried this in the following and its works.

Thanks to all for your suggestions and supprt

Thanks again

dj

Open notepad, and copy this information:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"RunDLL"=-

Then, save as bridge-repair.reg (make sure you change the Save As Type from .txt to All Files), and then right-click that .reg file and choose Merge. Tell it yes to merge it in, and then you should be all set.
