I have been getting a message from AVG, saying that I have a trojan (startpage.4.bd) requesting that I run AVG to remove it. AVG finds nothing. It seems not to be doing any damage (visable that is) but it is constantly coming up with the message. I am running windows XP. Can anyone help me please!!

Disable system restore:
 
Disable-reboot. Enable system restore.
If it don´t help, run this scanner: http://www.mwti.net/antivirus/free_utilities.asp
Take one of the first seven links.
Activate all, in settings
 
Run it from safe mode - F8

Hey Touch, I have been nosing around trying to get rid of a Trojan Horse named agent. Like gavinus, AVG was driving me crazy with the pop-ups. It would identify it and apparently clean it up only to have it reload immediately. The program you linked cleaned it up without problem. I just wanted to thank you for the good info.

The Trojan Horse I removed was downloader.agent.2.bn.

I ran AVg for  Startpage.9.bh  but I can't delete the file.  my screen has all kinds of lines going through it, and AVG keeps popping up every few seconds.  I found the file winmxf.32.exe, but I can't remove it.  PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
 
also everytime I move my screen the screen gets distorted.  Any help!!!
