BullGuard Gets Mascot

Copenhagen, 10 May 2007

BullGuard, specialists in user-friendly PC & Mobile security solutions, saw a long lost dream come true with the adoption of an English Bulldog puppy.

Since BullGuard was founded 6 years ago we have been toying with the idea of raising an English Bulldog”, says Theis Søndergaard, CTO and co-founder of BullGuard. “The bulldog is our company logo and we always thought it would be great to have the logo come to life.”

Following the purchase of the puppy, BullGuard organised a naming contest among its users which resulted in more than 1,000 suggestions. As the name Winston got most votes, the company mascot is now officially called ‘Sir Winston of BullGuard’.

The bulldog has his own website with among others a blog, galleries and games. “We want to make Winston the face of BullGuard towards our users”, says Søndergaard. “He is already part of our newsletter and people interact with him on his website. So we definitely think there is a role for Winston to play for the company. But for now we are all mainly thrilled to have him. He adds a touch of his own to the office culture.
