In order to remove a toolbar completely there are several steps you must go through:
Step 1
Uninstall the toolbar
Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features (Add/Remove Programs), select the toolbar or search program you wish to remove and click on Uninstall. Then, wait until you receive confirmation of the uninstall process completing.
Step 2
Remove the toolbar from your browser, from search providers and set the home page to one of your choosing by following the instructions corresponding to your browsers:
Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Opera
INTERNET EXPLORER
Remove the toolbar from your browser
Internet Explorer 8
Go to Tools > Manage Add-Ons.

Select Toolbars and Extensions in the left-side panel, then right-click on the desired toolbar in the right-side panel and click on the Disable button below.

Click on the cog-wheel menu > Manage Add-Ons.

Select Toolbars and Extensions in the left-side panel, then right-click on the desired toolbar in the right-side panel and click on the Disable button below.

Manage the search providers

Go to Tools > Manage Add-Ons, in the left-side panel select Search Providers, then right-click on the provider you wish to remove and select Remove.

Click on the cog-wheel menu > Manage Add-Ons, in the left-side panel select Search Providers, then right-click on the provider you wish to remove and select Remove.

Change your start page to a page of your liking

Go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab, then edit the Home page box so that it only contains a page you trust and click on the Apply button.

Click on the cog-wheel menu > Internet Options > General tab, then edit the Home page box so that it only contains a page you trust and click on the Apply button.

Only if the above did not fully remove the toolbar, search provider or you have difficulties in using your browser, you may want to reset it to its default state as described below. Note that this action will remove any saved password, form data, bookmarks etc.

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab and click on the Reset… button.
Internet Explorer 9
Click on the cog-wheel menu > Advanced tab and click on the Reset… button.

MOZILLA FIREFOX
Remove the toolbar from your browser
Click on the orange Firefox button > Add-Ons, select Extensions in the left-side panel, then click on the Remove button on the line corresponding to the toolbar you wish to remove.

Manage the search providers
Click on the downwards arrow from the search-bar > select Manage Search Engines; then, select the engine you wish to remove and click on the Remove button.

Change your start page to a page of your liking
Click on the Firefox button > Options > Options, select the General tab, then modify the Home page field and to a desired value and click on OK.

Only if the above did not fully remove the toolbar, search provider or you have difficulties in using your browser, you may want to reset it to its default state as described below. Note that this action will remove any saved password, form data, bookmarks etc.
Click on the Firefox button > Help > Troubleshooting information. In the new page, click on the Reset Firefox button.

GOOGLE CHROME
Remove the toolbar from your browser
Go to the Options menu > Settings > Extensions, then click on the Bin icon corresponding to the extension you wish to remove.

Manage the search providers
Go to the Options menu > Settings, select Settings in the left-side panel and click on the Manage Search Engines… button from the Search section. Move the mouse over the desired search provider and click on the X that appeared in the right.

Change your start page to a page of your liking
Go to the Options menu > Settings, select Settings in the left-side panel and click on the Manage Search Engines… button from the Search section. Move the mouse over the Go to the Options menu > Settings, select Settings in the left-side panel, then go to the Appearance section, tick the Show home button option and then click on Change. Edit the desired home page and click on OK. Also, make sure that undesired pages are not automatically opened. In the Settings menu, go to the On Startup section and if the Open a specific page or set of pages option is enabled, click on Set pages. In the next screen, remove any suspicious pages, then click on OK.
Only if the above did not fully remove the toolbar, search provider or you have difficulties in using your browser, you may want to reset it to its default state as described below. Note that this action will remove any saved password, form data, bookmarks etc.
Close all running instances of Google Chrome, then go to the installation folder of Google Chrome: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application. Once there, clear the User Data folder.
OPERA
Remove the toolbar from your browser
Click on the Opera button > Settings > Preferences, then select the Advanced tab > Toolbars, select the toolbar you wish to remove from the Toolbar Setup and click on the Delete button.

Manage the search providers
Click on the Opera button > Settings > Preferences, then select the Search tab; click on the engine you wish to remove and click on the Delete button.

Change your start page to a page of your liking
Click on the Opera button > Settings > Preferences, edit the field named Home page and click on OK.

Only if the above did not fully remove the toolbar, search provider or you have difficulties in using your browser, you may want to reset it to its default state as described below. Note that this action will remove any saved password, form data, bookmarks etc.
Close all running instance of Opera, then go to the installation folder of Opera: C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Opera\Opera\, provided that you have installed Opera using the default settings. Once there, delete the Operapref.ini file.
