How to install BullGuard Backup

Please follow this guide if you wish to install BullGuard Backup.

  Download BullGuard Backup

First, click the below link to download BullGuard Backup:

In the pop-up window that appears, choose Save, then select a location to download the file. You may choose your Desktop, so it is easy to find it after the download is finished.

BullGuard Backup will now be downloaded to your computer:

When the file has been downloaded, locate and double-click it. The file is called "backup_v70.exe" and looks like this:

When you double-click the file, the installation process will begin. A series of screens will appear - if you are not an experienced user, you should just click Next and Yes to all of these:

When BullGuard Backup has completed the installation, you will be asked to restart your computer. You must restart in order for BullGuard Backup to complete its configuration. 

  Register your trial

 

When your computer has restarted, BullGuard Backup will launch automatically. If this is the first time you install the product, you will be asked to register your trial. You need to be connected to the Internet in order for this to work. Enter your email address, choose a password and click Register:

If you are not connected, you will get an error-message saying "WARNING: Registration failed".

This can also be caused by an error on the BullGuard registration server. If you get the error, please check your connection status - if everything is OK, then it would be a good idea to try again later.

If you are using a proxy to connect to the Internet, please check the "I use a proxy" box and enter your data in the screen that will appear next:

If all goes well, you will see a message saying "Registration successful".

Congratulations, BullGuard Backup is installed and you are now protected from viruses and hackers!
