I can't open my backup-drive with my browser - what's wrong?
There can be 4 main reasons for not being able to immediately access the backup drive using your browser:
1. You use Windows XP, with Service Pack 2 installed.
2. You have a pop-up blocker installed.
3. You don't use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above to access the backup drive.
4. Your Windows does not have the WebDAV technology enabled.
Below are details on how to address each of these issues.
You use Windows XP, with Service Pack 2 installed
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 has a built-in pop-up blocker. If you have this configuration, this is what you will see:

You need to allow pop-ups from www.bullguard.com in order for your backup drive to work in your browser.
First solution: please click the yellow information bar at the top of the window and choose "Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site".

Then click Yes:

You will now get access to your online backup drive.
Second solution: If you can't make the above work, you can manually add BullGuard to the list of allowed websites. Click Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker settings:

Write "" in the "Address of Website to allow" field and click Add:

BullGuard has now been added, and you can click the Close button:

You have a popup-blocker installed
Most pop-up blockers will stop your backup drive from opening. You need to allow pop-ups from in order for it to work. Please refer to the documentation of your pop-up blocker to find out how to do this.
You don't use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above to access the backup-drive
Your backup drive can only be accessed via your browser, if you use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above. Other browsers, such as Mozilla or Opera, are currently not supported and you will get the following error, or one like it:

This is caused by the fact that we use the WebDAV-technology for the backup drive when you access it via a browser. At this point, Internet Explorer (versions 5.5 and above) is the only browser that supports this technology.
Therefore, please use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above when accessing your backup drive via browser.
Note: BullGuard does not generally approve of the monopoly of Internet Explorer on the browser market. The rest of the BullGuard website can be viewed in all common browsers, and we welcome diversity in browser usage.
Your Windows does not have the WebDAV technology enabled
You need to have Windows 98 or above in order for WebDAV (or "Web folders" as Microsoft has named the technology) to work.
If you have an older Windows version, we recommend you upgrade to Windows XP.
Other solutions
If none of the above solutions helped you, please contact Support for more help (see buttons below). Remember that this problem is limited to the remote access to your backup drive. You can always use the BullGuard Backup application installed on your computer to access your files.
