To upgrade from any previous version of BullGuard to BullGuard 8.7 is not hard. Basically its just a matter of:
* Uninstalling the old version
* Restarting your computer (IMPORTANT)
* Installing the new version
Detailed instructions can be found below.
Note: This guide is for BullGuard v8.7.
Locate your BullGuard username and password
If you are an existing user of BullGuard, you should make sure that you have your BullGuard username (which should be your email address) and password at hand.
If you have forgotten your BullGuard username, please check your currently installed BullGuard: double-click the BullGuard icon and go to the Account tab. Here you will find your BullGuard username.
If you have forgotten your password, use this form to get a new one easily.
If you want to check that your BullGuard username and password is correct, you can check by logging in to your BullGuard account. If it works there, it'll work like a charm in BullGuard :)
Download BullGuard 8.7
Download BullGuard 8.7 here. Place it somewhere easy to find, like your Desktop.
Uninstall your old BullGuard version
Go to the Windows Start menu and locate your BullGuard folder in the All Programs or Programs folder.
Choose the Modify & Repair & Uninstall / Uninstall option. Confirm that you want to remove BullGuard.
BullGuard will now uninstall. If you are asked to keep the settings, we recommend that you do not do so.
Restart your computer (IMPORTANT)
Before proceeding, it's very important to restart your computer! You can briefly read the rest of these instructions before doing so :)
Install the latest BullGuard version - v8.7:
Once your computer has restarted, double-click the downloaded BullGuard.exe file to start the installation. Simply follow the instructions given during the installation process. You can then enter your new username and password and login:

Remember, your BullGuard username is your email address.
If you have forgotten your password, you can ask for a new one here: Get a new password
Now BullGuard connects to our server and checks your account. It will start running like you have a paid subscription instead of a trial one.
Note: As with any Internet security application, it is HIGHLY recommended to uninstall all other antivirus and firewall products on your computer before installing BullGuard 8.7, as they are to conflict with each other. It would also be wise to disable the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender in XP or Vista.
That's it. Enjoy!
Kind regards,
The BullGuard Team
