How to remove infected files in the Quarantine
|
WHAT IS THE QUARANTINE?
The Quarantine is a special folder where BullGuard keeps the
infected and suspected files if it has not automatically deleted
them.
When a virus is in the Quarantine it can't do any harm. The
files are isolated here until you decide to permanently remove
them.
|
Some infected files can't be disinfected as they contain the
very body of the virus - these files will be deleted or moved.
This guide will show you how to remove an infected file in the
quarantine folder.
Note: This guide is for BullGuard v8.0. If you
are using Windows Vista, choose the
following guide: BullGuard
v8.0 for Vista.
Locate the
files
In order to delete the quarantined files, please open BullGuard
by double-clicking on the icon in the System
Tray (bottom-right corner of the screen, near the clock).

Quarantine
menu
Select the Antivirus section from the left and go to the
Quarantine tab in the upper menu. If any files are present, check
the boxes to their left remove them by pressing the Delete
button.

Moving
files to the Quarantine
To set the actions that BullGuard takes when finding a virus,
please go to the Antivirus section >
Overview tab. Scroll down to the bottom of the
window and set the BullGuard's actions.
We recommend you to set the second action to Move to
Quarantine.

Full
scan
After you have done that please run another full scan with
BullGuard to be sure that everything is ok and your system is safe.
For more details on how to scan your computer, please see this guide instead.
Kind regards,
The BullGuard Team
