    How do I install?

    1. Download BullGuard 2013 from our website, here: http://download.bullguard.com/BullGuardDownloader.exe. For a detailed guide on how to download using your browser see this guide.
    2. Run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts. For detailed step by step instructions see this guide.
    3. Register an e-mail address and password in the prompt received or login with these details if you already have a running subscription.
    4. When the main interface loads, press the red Status button and then press “Reboot now” in the Firewall prompt.

    How do I uninstall BullGuard from my computer?

    Follow one of these methods to uninstall BullGuard.

     

    Option 1. Uninstall BullGuard from Control Panel:

    Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features (in case you are running Windows XP the option will be called Add or Remove programs). Locate BullGuard in the list. Select it,click on the Uninstall button and go through the Uninstall wizard prompts.

    Option 2. Uninstall using the Uninst.exe tool on the PC:

    Go to Start and click on “Computer” > then double the C:\ drive > Program Files > BullGuard LTD> BullGuard and run the Uninst.exe file by double clicking it.

    Go through the Uninstall wizard and restart your computer when prompted to complete the uninstall.

    Note about keeping the settings

    The Keep Setting option saves all Antivirus and Backup profiles, Firewall configuration, application settings and the Spamfilter white and blacklists. Saving your preferences is recommended if you plan to reinstall BullGuard and would like to avoid going through seting up BullGuard all over again.

    How do I upgrade to the latest version?

    1. Download BullGuard from here. For a step-by-step guide on how to download files using your browser click here.
    2. Run the BullGuardDownloader.exe file by double clicking on it. This will prompt the uninstall of the old version.
    3. Follow the prompts from the uninstall wizard and restart your computer when needed.
    4. Once Windows loads the installation will commence automatically. Go through the Installation wizard and restart your computer once it is done, to complete the upgrade.

    How do I install on an additional computer?

    Before installing BullGuard:

    A. please make sure that you have removed/uninstalled all other security software from the computer you are planning to install on. In order to learn how to uninstall an application from your PC click here.

    Go to Start> Control Panel> Programs and Features (in case you are running Windows XP the option will be called Add or Remove programs) and locate the security application in the list. Select it and use the Uninstall button.

    Follow the uninstall prompts and restart your computer at the end.

     

    B. Make sure you know your BullGuard username and password. You can test if you have the correct account details by logging in here. Should you not remember your account details click here


    Should you not remember your password, please click on the Forgot your password link and go through the password recovery steps. A complete guide on how you can reset your password can be found here.

    Should you not remember your username, please open the BullGuard application on your PC and select SETTINGS > Account. You will see it there as exemplified in the below screenshot. You can open the application from Start > All Programs > BullGuard and clicking on the BullGuard icon.

    1. Download BullGuard Internet Security 2013 from our website, here: http://download.bullguard.com/BullGuardDownloader.exe. For a step-by-step guide on how to download files using your browser click here.
    2. Run the BullGuardDownloader.exe file by double clicking it and follow the prompts. For a detailed step by step guide on installing see here.
    3. Login to BullGuard with your existing account (the e-mail address registered on the first computer)
    4. Allow BullGuard to download and implement the updates and restart your computer when asked.

    After the reboot you are all set and BullGuard is installed and active on your computer.

    How do I install from the CD I just purchased?

    Box contents

    The box includes a product manual, your license-key and of course a CD-ROM containing the software.
    The license-key (in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) can be found on a sticker underneath the CD.

    However please note that we always recommend installing the latest software from our website as it will most likely include newer updates than the ones that came with the CD.

    Should you choose to install the application from our website please follow this guide.

    Otherwise insert the CD into you CD drive and the setup should begin automatically. All you need to do is follow the prompts from the install wizard and restart your computer at the end in order to complete the BullGuard installation.

    Note: if the setup does not begin automatically after inserting the CD, you need to go to Start > Computer and double click your CD/DVD drive icon.

    What if I have a CD with an older version of BullGuard?

    Case A. You already have the BullGuard Internet Security 2013 version installed. In order to check your installed version, open the BullGuard application and look in the lower left hand corner of the window.

    In this case simply activate the key following this guide.

    Case B. You have an expired BullGuard Internet security subscription and have reinstalled the software.

    In this case after installing you have received the below prompt:

     

    Inst_Activate_LC

     

    Press the Activate license-key button for you to be able to use the activation-code/license-key received with your CD.

    You will receive a prompt to login with your BullGuard username and password on our website.

    Login and then activate the key here:

     

    Activate_Online

     

    Now get back to the BullGuard application prompt and press Check Status again.

    Case C. You have purchase a CD with an older BullGuard version and do not have our application installed.

    Before installing BullGuard please make sure that you have removed/uninstalled all other security software from the computer you are planning to install on.

    Troubleshooting installation… ??

    Before installing BullGuard please make sure that you have removed/uninstalled all other security software from the computer you are planning to install on.

    To do this go to Start> Control Panel> Programs and Features(in case you are running Windows XP the option will be called Add or Remove programs) and locate the security application in the list. Select it and use the Uninstall button.

    I receive a prompt about conflicting software
    In case you have not uninstalled them prior to installing BullGuard the following prompt appears:

     

    Conflicting_Software

     

    Proceed with uninstalling the conflicting software either via the BullGuard prompt or the steps from the previous entry.

     

    I receive a prompt regarding the presence of Agnitum Firewall Driver:

    1. Learn if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit system type, by following the steps from this guide: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218
    2. Click on the link from below which corresponds to your system type and choose to save the file on the desktop:
      a) 32-bit: http://www.agnitum.com/download/support/clean.zip
      OR
      b) 64-bit: http://www.agnitum.com/download/support/clean64.zip
    3. Restart your computer in Safe Mode by following the instructions from here.
    4. Then unpack the actuall tool from the .zip archive by right clicking it and choosing “Extract all..”.
    5. Finally run the tool by double clicking it. In the dialog window that will open, confirm that you want to uninstall the Agnitum software by clicking the Yes button.
    6. After the uninstallation is completed your computer will be restarted automatically.
    7. Try to install BullGuard again.

     

    I received a prompt about Microsoft Logo testing not passed.

    In this case you are on a Windows XP computer and you need to solve the issue by right clicking on the My Computer icon and selecting Properties.

    Access the Hardware subsection and press Driver Signing.

    In the new prompt make sure that the option is set to Warn and accept the change. Then retry the BullGuard installation.

     

    I receive a “Cannot connect to download server error(12037) ” message

    In this case please check the date and time on the computer by clicking on it in the lower right corner of the screen and pressing Change Date and time Settings.

    Correct both the time and date , then attempt a new install.
