We have identified an error with our updater during the last 48 hours. In order to fix it, we need you to run the tool from here. The process has 3 steps and takes only a few minutes to complete.
Do not worry about your computer's security, as it has not been compromised. Running the tool will insure that your software is still getting security updates, as usual. The problem has been identified in time and only affected 2500 users of our millions of users database.

False Positive
STATUS: CLOSED
We would like to notify you of the fact that around 16:40 GMT our Antivirus engines started flagging different Windows files from 64-bit operating systems as infected with "Trojan.FakeAlert.5".
Detection was removed shortly after that, at 17:18 GMT, but some machines were already affected by this update.
At this moment, our recommendation to deal with this problem is the following:
1. Double-click on the BullGuard icon in the system tray and open the console.
2. Choose the Antivirus plugin and then turn it off.
3. Next, go to Quarantine section within the Antivirus plugin, so that you can recover your files.
4. Select all the files in the list and click on the "Move back" button.
NOTE: If you are unable to restore the files manually, please use this tool instead: BGQuarantineRestore
The file is in the form of an archive, so in order to run the executable within, please right-click on the archive and choose "Extract here...". The BGQuarantineRestore.exe file will appear next to it immediately.
5. Finally, update BullGuard and then turn the Antivirus back on.
If you cannot update BullGuard after taking the above steps, please reinstall BullGuard as follows:
