How to download BullGuard Mobile Security 10
Please follow this guide if you wish to download BullGuard Mobile Security 10 on your device.
As soon as you have completed the payment process in the BullGuard webshop, you should have received an e-mail with your licence key and download link. If you used an offline payment option to acquire your BullGuard subscription, a 14 day licence key will be issued and you should receive it via e-mail.
As soon as you received the payment confirmation e-mail and your key, you can install BullGuard on your mobile device. To install the application, use the link in the e-mail to choose how to download the Mobile Security suite.
This procedure is very simple, and there are 2 different ways of doing it:
1. Download BullGuard directly on your mobile device
2. Download BullGuard via PC
Download BullGuard directly on your device
If your phone is always connected to a Wireless hotspot or if your mobile provider has data transfer services (3G or 2G) included in your package, you can download BullGuard directly to your mobile device.
Step 1
Click on the link provided in the confirmation e-mail to open the BullGuard Mobile download page –
http://www.bullguard.com/Mobile_v3/mobilesecuritydownload.aspx.
Step 2
Enter your phone number and we will send you the download link via an SMS message directly on your device. To make sure the message reaches your phone, please choose your country code and then enter your device’s phone number. Click the Receive SMS now! button and a message will be sent to you within a few minutes.
Step 3
The next step is to open the link we sent in the SMS message on your device. At this point you need to choose your device’s operating system from the drop-down box.
Click Download when you have chosen the correct operating system. After the file is downloaded, you can install the application and register your Mobile Security account. A detailed installation guide for your mobile OS is available:
- Android (for Android 2.0 or higher)
- Blackberry (for Blackberry 4.2 and higher)
- Symbian (Symbian Series 60 3rd and 5th ed. – version 9.2 and higher)
- Windows Mobile (Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5)
Download BullGuard Mobile on your PC
If you don’t have continuous access to a Wireless hotspot, if you have data transfer limits imposed by your carrier network or if the SMS message failed to reach your phone, you can download the BullGuard Mobile installer on your computer and then transfer it on your device.
Step 1
Click on the link provided in the confirmation e-mail to open the BullGuard Mobile download page – http://www.bullguard.com/Mobile_v3/mobilesecuritydownload.aspx. At this point, click on the Install manually button to switch to the download page.
Step 2
Select the correct OS version for your mobile device from the drop-down menu and then click on the Download button to save the installer file on your computer.
Note: if you use a Blackberry device, please choose the Install via SMS option.
Step 3
As soon as the installer is downloaded on your computer, connect your device to the PC and transfer the file on to your phone. When the installer is copied over to the device, open the file from your phone to install the Mobile Security suite.
Remember to copy the file in an easily accessible location on your mobile device such as your Downloads folder or a separate folder on your device’s memory card.
Your device can be connected to the computer via:
- USB cable may require additional software installed to synchronize your computer to your mobile device (refer to your phone’s help and support manual to check needed software for PC synchronization). Some mobile synchronization software can install applications on your mobile device as long as you provide them with the installer file.
- Bluetooth requires Bluetooth enabled on both your PC and phone and, in some cases, to pair your devices prior to file transfer (refer to your mobile device support manual to see how to pair devices).
- SD card only – for some phone models, you can take the phone’s external memory card and insert it in your PC’s card reader.
