Introduction
We use cookies, among other things, to offer you our products, services, and websites in the desired manner. Cookies are small pieces of text information that are loaded in your browser and thus stored on your computer. Cookies can be used for different tasks. In addition, the term "cookies" is a synonym for tracking tools used on websites today. We also use the word "cookie" in this Privacy Policy as a synonym for tracking tools.
For further information on processing on our web pages, please refer to "Websites/Online shop/Account"
You can reject cookies by disabling them in your browser or changing your cookie preferences. Visit www.aboutcookies.org for further information about disabling cookies in your browser.
Purpose and lawful basis of processing
To use our cookies legally, we use what is known as a cookie banner (see below for more information). The cookie banner informs you about the cookies we create and use. We have also used the cookie categorizations (necessary, preferential, statistical, and customized) to subdivide the purposes and legal bases.
Definition of categories
Strictly necessary or essential cookies
These are cookies that are necessary to provide the BullGuard website. These include such cookies that allow you to log in to secure parts of our website, place items in a shopping cart, or use e-billing services.
Analytical cookies and performance cookies
These cookies allow BullGuard to count visits and traffic sources to measure and improve website performance. They help BullGuard understand which pages are more popular than others, and to see how visitors move around our website. The data these cookies gather are all aggregated, and therefore anonymized.
Functional cookies
These allow us to identify when you return to the BullGuard website. BullGuard can then personalize content for you, welcome you personally using your own name, and recall your preferences (such as your language choice or region).
Targeting cookies
These cookies record your visits to the BullGuard website, the pages you visited, and the links you clicked. BullGuard uses this information to tailor the website and the ads that are displayed to your interests. For this purpose, BullGuard may share this information with third parties.
Please see the overview below for the complete list of cookies used on the BullGuard website.
Third-party cookies
Third parties may use cookies on our website for their own purposes or on our behalf. These cookies are used to provide certain functions on our website, and are intended to help us better understand how our customers use the website. For instance, you may receive cookies from social media websites if you share something or connect via such a website. You can disable third-party cookies by customizing your cookie preferences in BullGuard's cookie banner. Please see the table in the overview below for further information on third-party cookies.
Third-party links
Our website includes links to third-party websites, plugins, and programs. By clicking on such links or initiating such connections, you may allow third parties to set cookies on your computer. We have no control over such third-party websites, and are not responsible for their cookie creation practices or cookie policies. We recommend you read the cookie and privacy policies of each website you visit as soon as you leave our website.
Note:
- Clicking any link or going directly to the BullGuard online shop will take you to a third-party website that is not owned by BullGuard. The website owner will set its own cookies on your computer that you cannot control via the BullGuard website.
- Clicking any link or going directly to the BullGuard Identity Protect platform will take you to a third-party website that is not owned by BullGuard. The website owner will set its own cookies on your computer that you cannot control via the BullGuard website.
Third-party ads
We place ads on website such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. We may set cookies that allow us to determine how many people ultimately purchase our products after clicking one of our ads. The conversion tracking cookie will only be set in your browser if you click an ad. Such cookies expire after 30 days and do not contain any information that could identify you personally.
Customizing cookies set by us
Essential cookies

Tracking pixels
We also use tracking pixels on the BullGuard website. These are invisible images that are as small as a single pixel. BullGuard uses tracking pixels to assess which pages the website user visits.
You can prevent the use of tracking pixels by configuring your browser settings to not display any images. However, doing so may prevent you from accessing certain BullGuard services. Use your browser's help function to learn more about the display of images.
Cookie consent tool
We use a tool provided by OneTrust Technology Ltd., 82 St John St, Farringdon, London EC1M 4JN, UK, for cookie control on our websites.
Functionality
You can call up the cookie banner again here and change the settings.
Customize Settings
We regularly scan our websites with OneTrust, and divide the cookies used into the four different categories mentioned above.
You can use the cookie consent tool to customize your cookie preferences by ticking the box next to the cookie category to consent to the creation and use of cookies for that category. You can customize any category apart from "Necessary" cookies as these are required for the proper functioning of the website and are enabled automatically. You can also learn more about each cookie category. Additionally, you can find this overview below in this Privacy Policy.
Once you have consented, the key and consent status will be stored in cookies so that the website can automatically retrieve and track your consent with all subsequent page requests and future user sessions for up to 12 months.
This functionality means that as your preferences are set based on the browser and device you are using at the time, if you visit our websites using a different browser or device then the settings chosen on that browser or device will apply. These may therefore deviate from your expectations.
If you delete the browser history and/or cookies, the settings made are also affected. This means that when you next visit our website, you will be shown our cookie banner again and will have to customize your preferences once more.
