Introduction

You may exercise the following rights in relation to your personal data, subject to possible legal restrictions.

Please be aware that we reserve the right to perform an identity check of the individual submitting the request, in accordance with legal obligations. Please understand that we can therefore only consider requests in writing (e.g. by email or letter).

It may also be necessary for us to take further steps to clearly verify the identity of the requestor(s).

Effects of product settings

Our products offer you a number of options and settings in relation to personal data. These are usually explained to you when used for the first time. Please note that it is quite possible that by changing this data or settings, certain services may no longer function properly.

Withdrawal of consent

If you have given us your consent to process certain data, e.g. to receive our newsletter or third-party offers, you have the right to withdraw this consent — also in part — at any time. You can do so either via your My BullGuard Account on our website or by contacting us directly.

If data processing is based on a weighing of interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing insofar as there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or if it constitutes direct advertising.

Right of access

Please let us know in writing if you want to know what personal data we hold on you. To allow us to identify you, please use the same email address as you used for your My BullGuard Account. We can then verify your identity as required by law. Please also tell us in which context we collected your data, e.g. as a customer or applicant.

Be aware that it may take some time to provide the information depending on the extent of processing involved.

Right to rectification

Your My BullGuard Account on our website provides an overview of the records we store, such as your name and email address. If you find that this information is incorrect, you can change it yourself. For all other corrections, please contact us in writing, describing in as much detail as possible what your request concerns, e.g. web data, applicant data.

Right to erasure

Please let us know in writing if you would like your data to be erased. We will then erase your data in accordance with legal requirements.

However, we would like to point out that we are legally obliged to store certain data for longer periods of time (e.g. the retention period for accounting documents is currently up to 10 years).

Additionally, please note that while we are able to block your data immediately, due to technical restrictions it may take up to 30 days to delete your data permanently. However, no legal obligations or rights of third parties may conflict with this deletion.

Furthermore, please note that after confirming your deletion request it will no longer be possible to restore your data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to restrict the processing of your personally identifiable information. To this end, please inform us of the categories of data you believe are affected and the reason for your request. We will examine the information immediately and notify you of the result.

Right to data portability

Please let us know in writing which data you would like to transfer to whom. We will examine your request immediately and notify you of the result.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you are dissatisfied with our data-protection efforts, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection regulatory authority responsible for your country.

Processing of minors' data

Our products and services may not be ordered or installed by minors.
