Hi There,

In my vulnerabilities tab my status states at risk since installing SQL express. Apparently due to a missing update "Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 2 (KB3171021)"

When I follow the install missing updates, they are all up to date. A colleague has a similar at risk notification that he has "Windows Updates configuration: disabled".

However this setting is enabled on his machine.

Can anyone explain to me why these are displaying these errors?

Click on the Windows start button and type update history, then press Enter. If you have update KB3171021, then there is no need to worry. Otherwise you can download it from here:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3171021/sql-server-2014-service-pack-2-release-information

If your colleague has Windows Update on automatic, then there is an issue with his BullGuard we need to fix. Please advise him to contact us.

Windows makes notes of installed updates through Windows Update. It's very likely that the repository needs to be rebuilt.

Try and start from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components
