Gentlemen: Avast detected that i had the Win32-Trojan-Gen; Couldn't get rid of it. I found your forum and signed up. So I'm new. I followed along with the directions of what to do before I posted my first problem. I followed all the steps, the cccleaner; the superantispyware, the hijackthis and the combofix (which didn't seem to work); then all of a sudden my computer reboots and i lose my internet conection. I call my provider but it's nothing to do with my service...it is my computer. I have a second computer (using a router) and as we can see i do have internet service here. What happened to my other computer?? This is exactly my what i dread when I start trying to fix something...
Before I can even try to fix the original problem (get rid of the virus); I need to figure out what deleted my internet...

Anything will be appreciated...

Hi Touch

I restored my computer with system restore and went back to settings from a couple days ago and got my internet back. Had to redo everything as far as downloading all the links you suggested and redid my scans. They can be found on another post. Hope it was all done correctly. I'll check back tomorrow to see what you have to say..thanks.
