Timeout Error

I've just tried to use the free anti-spam product, but am receiving a time-out error when trying to download my email. I am also unable to connect to the Internet via my browser.

I am using Vista Home Ed 64, Thunderbird, AVG Free v8.5 and Zonealarm.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what is happening?

Hello Chris,

Please tell me if ZoneAlarm has the Anti-Spam module (if you have installed the Internet Security Suite or Extreme Security). The Spamfilter should not block your Internet access, but you can test each security application (disable them and see if the Internet connection works properly).

Hi,
I've narrowed it down to AVG scanning incoming emails. I'm using v8.5.409 with default setting.

The lose of my Internet is a red herring. This is ok if I reboot after installing.

Hello again,

Since your AVG has an incoming email scanner, you should choose between this and the BullGuard solution.
