V.8 Not Working?

Installed v.8 from site, installed smoothly until final step of inoutin e-mail address and password - suggested that Internet Connection was not available(!). Internet now not working. Uninstall. Internet working again. Had no option within the Bullguard Windown to look at firewall etc. - on gret tab on left - onlt availble tab was 'Main'. Tried this in place of Norton... it's not looking good so far... any advice?
