Hello,

The week before last there was a Windows Update released which affects various Windows Services, causing them to fail to start, or start late, before the upate is implemented (the update taks completes). This results in BullGuard throwing errors as well, the most common being Error x42c step 5.

Please restart your computer a few times, with sufficient time between each restart, to ensure Windows Update finishes updating all tasks, so all Windows services start normally.

If that fails to work for you, please also try reinstalling BullGuard (because BullGuard may be part of the reason for the Updates not being able to complete). Make sure you restart your computer after you uninstall BullGuard, so Windows Update can complete the job). You can download BullGuard again from the Free Trials section on our website (when you log in with your paid subscription, it will reacitvate) or from your account directly.

If that still fails to work, please contact our support team, so we can pinpoint the reason through the logs.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this causes our users and thank you for your understanding!

Had no issues with 1709 and BG but BG did quarainten a program aomie backuper.

On 4 pc's with bg installed it does not flag or warn of programs the same; triiggers the same program

on one pc and not another.

BG is no good to me at all now since the W10 update

Far too clunky, hungry on resoirce, flagging legit progs and websites as attacks and slowing the system down.

I have had a full scan running on 1 machine and after 6 hrs its still only 80% complete. Not the first time this has showed.

My subscription was due next week but I wont be taking it up.

Will opt for Avira or another free one.

I tried contacting your support team (Mihai on 23 March at 0840 GMT) and he just brushed me off and told me to contact Windows support.  Very helpful - NOT.

Maybe he was trying to say that Bullguard doesn't work properly and that I should find another AV suite.
