Every time I go to google and search for something, the link I end up choosing always takes me to the wrong page, usually some ad or page that doesn't even exist. This is by far one of the most annoying things I have ever dealt with. Ran Malware Bytes which detected 4 threats, but then locks up, freezes, and never resumes. I have to end the process for it.

Here's my log:

Hi Landonech,

Uninstall Browser Configuration Utility using Control Panel and run a MalwareBytes scan.

Next, follow the guide below to remove all unnecessary toolbars:

So I have done everything you outlined here and it is still happening. Having uninstalled and disabled all unnecessary toolbars, I can't find any toolbars that are installed or enabled that would be causing this.

You are in safe hands by Robert Mateescu, I'm just wondering why you haven´t responded here where you had a rootkit, and an infected system file ?
